Albert J. Stunkard Albert J. Stunkard, MD, until his death in 2014, was Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. A pioneering obesity researcher, he was founder of the University's Center for Weight and Eating Disorders, where an endowed professorship was named for him, and a member of the Institute of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences.
