Hein de HaasHein de Haas, PhD, is Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is a founding member and former director of the International Migration Institute (IMI) at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and now directs the IMI at its current home at the University of Amsterdam. Dr. de Haas is also Professor in Migration and Development at Maastricht University /United Nations University–MERIT. His research focuses on the linkages between migration and broader processes of social transformation and development in origin and destination countries. |
