Shinobu KitayamaShinobu Kitayama, PhD, is Robert B. Zajonc Collegiate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. He studies psychological diversity across cultures and has pioneered the field of cultural neuroscience. Editor of Journal of Personality and Social Psychology: Attitudes and Social Cognition, Dr. Kitayama is a recipient of Fulbright and Guggenheim Fellowships, the William James Fellow Award from the Association for Psychological Science (APS), the Scientific Impact Award from the Society of Experimental Social Psychology, and the Career Contribution Award from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Fellow of APS. |
