Guilford Press Customer Club Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Guilford Press’s Customer Club (the “Customer Club”). This document sets forth the Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) governing your membership in the Customer Club. By enrolling in the Customer Club, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms, which form a binding legal agreement between you and Guilford Press (“Guilford Press”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Your participation in the Customer Club is conditional on your acceptance of, and compliance with, these Terms, including any amendments which we may make from time to time.

1. Eligibility. Membership in the Customer Club is available to individuals who: (i) have registered an account on Guilford Press’s site, (ii) have provided and validated their email address and have not subsequently unsubscribed from receiving marketing emails from Guilford Press, (iii) have completed the online profile and questionnaire provided by Guilford Press, and (iv) who are at least of 18 years or age, or otherwise the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

2. Benefits. As a member of the Customer Club, you are entitled to various benefits, including the following:

  • Free Shipping: free standard shipping on orders delivered within the continental United States.
  • Welcome Discount: a one-time discount on your first order after enrolling in the Customer Club.
  • Exclusive Discounts: ongoing discounts on online purchases made from Guilford Press.
  • Special Offers: access to exclusive offers and discounts sent via email.

Discounts apply only to orders placed online at www.guilford.com.

3. Conditions. Your Customer Club membership benefits are linked to your registered account. It is your responsibility to maintain the accuracy of your account information and the security of your password. By joining the Customer Club, you consent to receive marketing emails and other communications from Guilford Press. You may opt out of receiving emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the email. However, opting out will result in the forfeiture of Customer Club membership and benefits.

4. Modifications and Termination. Guilford Press reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify these Terms at any time. Such modifications may include, without limitation, changes to eligibility rules and changes to the benefits offered. Your continued utilization of Customer Club benefits following any such change to the Terms will constitute acceptance of the changes. Guilford Press reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Customer Club and its benefits at any time without prior notice. Guilford Press reserves the right to terminate your membership in the Customer Club for any reason, including, without limitation, violation of these Terms, abuse of the Customer Club benefits, or account inactivity.

5. Liability and Disclaimers. The Customer Club and its benefits are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Guilford Press expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Guilford Press shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if Guilford Press has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from your participation in the Customer Club.

6. Privacy. Your privacy is important to us. The information collected from you as part of the Customer Club enrollment and participation will be used in accordance with Guilford Press’s Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you also consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. General Provisions. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of New York, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect. The failure of Guilford Press to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
