Accessing Online Subscriptions: Libraries and Large Institutions

For IP access, Institutions must provide us with a static IP address.

Starting June 22, 2026, Guilford Press will be using theIPregistry.org to authenticate your access to our Journals content. If you have not already done so, the first step is to create a free user account at IPregistry.org and confirm the IPs currently registered to your institution. Once you have created your account you can communicate any IP address updates by simply logging in to your account and adding (or deleting) the relevant IP address(es). Read full details.

Accessing Online Subscriptions: Individuals and Small Institutions

You must register to be able to access your subscriptions online through our host, Atypon. Registering for online access is simple—upon purchasing a new subscription, you’ll receive an activation link to register and access your journal(s) through www.guilfordjournals.com within one business day. The email containing the link will have additional instructions on how to create and access your account. In the event you did not receive an activation link or are renewing an existing subscription, just send us a short email at [email protected] with "Registering with Atypon" in the subject line. In your email tell us:

Your name and address
The name of the journal(s) or newsletter(s) to which you subscribe
Your email address to be used for online access
If possible, your Guilford Sub ID number(s). Your Sub ID number is on any renewal letter you've received from us (listed above your name at the bottom of the letter), or on the shipping label on any issue of your subscription in the upper left-hand corner. If you can't find your Sub ID number, we will look it up for you.

It will take less than 24 hours to set up your online access after we receive your email. We will then send you an email with a link to create your username and password. Once you have received this link, you will be able to access your online subscription at www.guilfordjournals.com.

Purchase Pay-Per-View Articles or an All Access Pass

Pay-Per-View: Buy any article at www.guilfordjournals.com for 24-hour access and the ability to save to a local machine. To purchase a Pay-Per-View article, simply click on the full-text PDF article. You will see the option to purchase the article.
